Congratulations on your interest in our Work Study program, also known as our Seva Program! In Sanskrit, Shala means school and seva means selfless service. To serve others on their journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance is a noble task and in fact, is an essential and important aspect of your yoga practice. To be on the Shala Seva Team is an honor and a privilege.

We are looking for applicants who are sincere and enthusiastic about their growth and understand what it means to be on a team. Please read our guidelines carefully to see if this is a fit for you. Do you currently practice yoga at the Shala?
Do you live locally and have transportation?
Two hours per week minimum work commitment is required in exchange for unlimited yoga classes as well as discounts on merchandise, workshops and teacher trainings. There is a probationary period which includes two weeks of training and two weeks of service (four weeks total). The student is expected to pay for yoga classes during the training period.

Please give us at least two weeks' notice if you are unable to maintain your commitment to the program.
