I have done yoga all over the world and the Shala remains my favorite of them all. The community is heart warming, the studio is beautiful and the teachers and classes are the best of the best!

When I was visiting Mystic, I took a class with the owner, Dechan. From someone who has been practicing yoga for 20 years, she is a fantastic teacher and I would highly recommend checking out this yoga shala. She is attentive, friendly, and includes more depth to the practice than just the poses. I look forward to visiting again!

I’ve been practicing at Mystic Yoga Shala for a while now and honestly, it’s become like a second home to me. I’m there almost every day. The teachers are all incredibly talented and the practice is strong, intentional, and really empowering. You can feel the influence of Baptiste style yoga, which I love. It keeps me challenged but also grounded. The room itself is amazing. They use a steamer so there’s a lot of heat and moisture, which really helps with flexibility and makes the whole experience feel even more intense in a good way. More than anything, this place has given me a sense of community. It’s kept me strong, flexible, and connected. It really feels like family. I just love it there.

I had a wonderful experience practicing at Mystic Yoga Shala, while on vacation in Mystic. I had the chance to practice with the owner, Amy "Dechen" Zezulka, and Aaron, and they both were warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home. The same can be said with the other students in the class who gave me recommendations of other things to do while in town. I highly recommend this yoga studio!

I first started practicing at the Shala when I was 16. What sets this community apart from other studios in the area is the welcoming atmosphere and community. Whether it’s your first time or four hundredth time practicing yoga, you’ll feel right at home here.

Mystic yoga shala is where i began my yoga journey as a teenager and for years i find myself coming back to this gorgeous studio. It's one of the most beautiful spaces I've practiced in, i particularly love that they have yin classes 🙂

Dechen instructed a private class for our bachelorette weekend and it was fabulous! She was professional, fun, and helped make it a weekend to remember. Everyone talked about how much they loved the class- it was the perfect start to our day! Highly recommend Dechen and her yoga studio.

I have not been able to find yoga classes as intense or beautiful since I moved away. The instructors here were welcoming to all but really pushed me to improve. The studio itself is peaceful and the perfect setting for mindful practice.

Such a fantastic teacher - I felt amazing after our session and am looking forward to the next class! It's really nice that they offer remote classes too, so I'm able to continue my practice without interruption. They care about proper technique and safety and it shows! Highly recommended!

Love this studio! People make you feel welcomed and invited no matter your skill level. I was very nervous about going as I am quite unskilled but I really enjoy the peace, the atmosphere and the compassion of everyone I’ve met. Dechen is a wonderful teacher as are the other instructors. A really great place to learn whether online or in person.

Today was my first visit, the teacher was Dechen, she’s amazing! Very comfortable, clean, calming environment And everyone was so nice. Looking forward to my next class. Would definitely recommend. Oh and great parking which is always a plus. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Wonderfully inspired community

Like their neighbor simply the best if the best and offers different yoga classes and training. So considering there is a demand they really take their work seriously but also take the time to really get to know what you need. Awesome local small business. Please give them a chance as it is well deserved. 🙂

Went for Sunday veterans class, whole family decided they wanted to go too... Was late but they let us in great atmosphere and wonderful instructors excited to go again and be on time.

I came to the Mysic Yoga Shala after a great personal loss, and a broken back: Dechen and Jim and their Yoga saved me, and changed my life. Go there if you want great yoga, great spirit, and a push on the road to Enlightenment!

While visiting CT from NY this weekend my wife and I took two classes at Mystic yoga shala, one led by Sue MacClain and the other by Annie Chapman. Each of the teachers were top notch, giving great but gentle correction while leading a very fulfilling class. The studio is serene, spacious and clean. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend Mystic yoga shala for yogis of all levels and practices.
